It must be fifteen years since I first set up a blog server, using a Java program called 'Pebble'. I didn't write a single post in it, because I couldn't see why I should.

But now I'm thinking a blog might be a good way to record those memories that flit in and out of my mind and will in time be completely lost. Things about my life, about my growing up, about my work and interests, past and present. So who knows where this will lead.

I may start with a few pages already written, but not placed anywhere findable.

And anything else that I can be bothered with. It will probably be a while before some of the categories above are represented at all, but we shall see.
